Who we are

Nodd is a consumer app for parents and caregivers of young children. The data controller for personal data processed through the Services is the legal entity operating Nodd as identified in the app stores and in correspondence with users.

Information we collect

We may process the following categories of information:

• Account data: such as email address and display name when you create an account.
• Child profile data: such as date of birth or age band you provide so we can tailor sleep and play guidance.
• Sleep and activity data: information you enter about naps, nights, and related notes.
• App usage and diagnostics: events that help us understand feature usage, reliability, and performance (for example through Firebase Analytics or similar tools), including device type, app version, and coarse technical logs.
• Support communications: messages you send us when you ask for help.

We do not require you to provide sensitive categories of data (such as health diagnoses). If you voluntarily include sensitive information in free-text fields, we will treat it in line with this policy.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

• Provide, maintain, and secure the Services (including authentication).
• Generate in-app insights such as sleep summaries and schedule suggestions, including automated processing where described in the product.
• Process subscriptions and entitlements.
• Improve the product, fix bugs, and monitor performance.
• Communicate with you about the Services, security, or policy changes.
• Comply with law and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information.

Legal bases (where applicable)

If data protection law in your region requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of: performing our contract with you; our legitimate interests in running and improving a secure service (balanced against your rights); your consent where we ask for it; and compliance with legal obligations.

Service providers and sharing

We use trusted infrastructure and service providers to operate the Services. They process data on our instructions and under appropriate safeguards. This may include:

• Google Firebase (or successor services) for authentication, hosting, databases, and related cloud infrastructure.
• RevenueCat (or equivalent) to manage in-app purchases and subscription status across platforms.
• Apple and Google as platform providers when you install or pay through their stores.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer (for example a merger) subject to appropriate protections.

Cookies and similar technology on this website

On nodd-app.com we may use a language cookie (Firebase Hosting) so the site matches the language you chose. Optional analytics (Firebase Analytics and PostHog) load only if you accept them in the cookie banner or enable them under Cookie settings. You can change or withdraw consent at any time; if you decline optional analytics, essential language storage is unaffected.

Retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data where available in the app or by contacting us; some records may be retained where law requires.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and protect your devices.

International transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries other than where you live, including the United States and the European Economic Area. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses approved by regulators.

Children

Nodd is intended for use by parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of digital consent for independent account creation. Child profile information you add as a caregiver is processed to provide the Services on your instructions.

Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise rights, use in-app controls where available or contact us using the support channel described in the app or on this site.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the “Last updated” date. Where changes are material, we will provide additional notice as required by law.
